Popview was a platform for young European music photographers. By presenting work from music photographers to the international audience of the Eurosonic/Noorderslag Festival, it was Popview’s aim to support upcoming talents. As an additional means of support, one of the talents also received the Lex van Rossen Award (an amount of €2.500,-) named after the well known Dutch music photographer who passed away in 2007. I was one of the curators of the 2009 edition, the project was initiated in 2007/2008 by Lennard Dost. The Popview 2009 edition was presented at Noorderlicht in Groningen (NL), the Round House in London (UK) and the Beatlemania Museum in Hamburg (DE).
