Mare van Koningsveld is a freelance curator, critic, project manager and adviser in contemporary art, film and design. She studied Art History at the University of Groningen (NL). Mare is experienced in writing reviews, interviews and other texts and in conceptualizing and organizing exhibition projects. Topics she is interested in are – amongst other things – language & communication, sociology, migration, gender and sustainability. Mare lives in Leiden (NL).

Present and former clients are: CBK Groningen, Metropolis M, Kunstraad Groningen, Nieuwe Vide, Valletta 2018, Gemeente Groningen, Provincie Groningen, Kunstbeeld, Kunstschrift, Royal Academy of Art The Hague.

Her previous projects were funded by: Mondriaan Fund (Mondriaan Fonds), Creative Industries Fund NL (Stimuleringsfonds), Fonds 21 (the former SNS Reaalfonds) and several other local funds, (local) governments and various companies.
